Background and Experience
Cameron joined ICO Commercial as Managing Director of the Dallas office in January of 2024 after working for Swearingen Realty Group for more than 25 years where he was one of their top producers. He has participated in the successful training and development of brokerage personnel and the significant growth of the company’s national client base. Cameron’s commercial real estate career began in 1985 as a buyer/tenant representative and since then, he has been involved in a wide spectrum of transactions, including: office, industrial, retail, healthcare, land and specialty facilities such as sporting event and restaurant requirements. Over Cameron’s distinguished career, he has worked with strategic brokerage partners in almost every state in the United States.
Current Strategic Initiatives
Cameron has extensive experience in long term strategic planning, transaction and portfolio management, lease negotiations and acquisition/disposition consulting. With a reputation for being tenacious, creative and able to bring transactions to a mutually beneficial close; Dallas Morning News did an article profiling his leadership and creativity in the conversion of a vacant furniture store into a “state of the art” two-story corporate HQ facility for a national law firm. Additionally, Cameron’s extensive knowledge of the contract documentation process enables him to help opposing attorneys overcome their differences when documenting complex transactions.
In an effort to remain ahead of the curve in his pursuit to provide innovative and trend-leading real estate solutions, Cameron continues to develop new approaches and analytical tools that help increase the efficiency of his clients’ facility solutions and reduce their occupancy costs. He embraces new technology and plays a leadership role in the design and implementation of ICO Commercial’s new business development efforts and the expansion of the portfolio optimization technology used to process and implement his national client’s requirements.
Personal
Cameron has four children and lives in Southlake, Texas, with his wife, Paula. He has provided leadership within the community as a volunteer coach for youth teams and participated as a member of the board for Southlake Carroll Hockey Association and other such organizations.
